How To Make Litti Chokha at Home
Ingredients For Litti
1 cup Whole Wheat Flour
1 and a half cup Roasted Gram Flour (Sattu)
2 tbsp Achar ka Masala (Pickle spices)
2 tsp Celery Seeds (Ajwain)
2 tsp Kalonji or Mangrail, Black Caraway, Nigella,
2 tbsp Thinly Sliced Garlic
4 tbsp Mustard Oil
1 tsp Salt As per your tasteHalf cup Water
2 tbsp Chopped Coriander leaves
1 Cup Clarified Butter (Ghee)
Method:
1. For the Stuffing:
Take roasted gram flour and mix garlic, coriander leaves, achar masala, ajwain, mangrail, salt, mustard oil and water to prepare a batter of filling.
2. For the dough of Litti:
Take wheat flour and prepare dough in the same consistency as we prepare for flatbread.
3. To Make Litti
- Divide dough into small bolls.
- Put the fillings to prepare litti.
- Roll it and prepare round shapes.
- Now place the Windsor Steel Grill Basket slightly up on the on the gas flame and put the litti, flip it frequently.
- Once it is ready, add ghee and enjoy lip smacking litti
